I'm just a girl from a small town who lived in the same place for 19 years before she ever went anywhere. Got married at 19, had my first kid at 21 and my second at 26. My ex-husband was in the Navy, so we went from Mississippi to Virginia, then I went back home to have our first child before going back down south. He then commissioned the U.S.S. Milius, DDG 69 [no, I'm not joking]. It's an Aegis class destroyer and he was basically gone about 8-9 months out of the year, sometimes for 6 months at a time. We lived in San Diego, CA for over 4 years before he got booted out of the Navy for doing drugs. I think, if I could choose anywhere in the world to live, it'd be San Diego. Even though it's not anything like where I'm from, it feels like home--like I belong there.
AnyWay!! Now I'm back in Michigan and we've been divorced [thankfully] for almost 6 years. I'm working both at home as a transcriptionist {which is great because I work when and how I want to} and at the restaurant I started working at when I was 11. My sister is part-owner and up until recently, my mother worked there as well. The owner has lived across the street from my parents my whole life, so it's like working for family. Although most of the time I'd rather strangle her than look at her!
My kids are now 9 and almost 6 and are the loves of my life. I live with my fiance, Trent, and his son who is 11. {He has horrible ADHD and a mild form of autism--although his dad refuses to face that latter piece of information] He's very, very difficult to deal with most of the time for both of us. We have a boxer named Bogart who's 4 years old, two cats, 'Stache and Akasha [yes, I'm an Anne Rice fan], two ferrets--Boo and Tweeker and several little creatures called sugar gliders that we raise. We don't have kids together because we have enough animals to keep us too damn busy to even think about kids--at least for now.
Basically, I'm just starting this journal up to keep people I've basically lost touch with up on what's going on with me. And hopefully, they'll be kind enough to visit once in a while and write me some responses! {HINT HINT!]
